Running brainstorm from external hard disk

Hi BST users,

My current internal hard disk is almost full and I was wondering about the possibility of running Brainstorm in its entirety from an external hard disk.
How safe and feasible would this be?
So far I've been running and saving all BST-related matters into (C:) drive.

many thanks.

You may want to move Brainstorm database rather than the application.

Although it is possible to have and run the Brainstorm application (contents of the Program directory brainstorm3/) in an external HDD, it is not convenient, the user preferences (saved in the User directory) will be in a different HDD, thus Brainstorm will have different settings if run in different computers.

In Brainstorm it is possible to have Protocols in different directories. However we strongly recommend to have all the protocols in single directory (Database directory). In this way it is easier to find, move and backup protocols.

Thank you for the recommendation Raymundo,
What would be your recommendation for running and storing BST data in SSD versus HDD?

That is, maintain brainstorm3 in (C:) drive and move brainstorm_db to either SSD or HDD and run BST from there. What are your thoughts?
