Occipito Temporal Sulcus
The Occipito Temporal Sulcus is the 4 th temporal sulcus running antero posteriorly. It is best seen when looking at the inferior aspet of the temporal lobe, and it separates the inferior temporal gyrus, laterally, from the occipito-temporal gyrus, mesially. It often is discontinuous. Drop the first point at the anterior end (1). Images 2 and 3 show the position of this point in a coronal and parasagital view respectively. Continue posteriorly to the point of interruption (4), change to no stickiness and jump over the gyrus (5 and 6), and continue to the end of the sulcus at the beginning of the occipital lobe (7).
